To break the silence of talent trapped behind barriers.
"Some mute inglorious Milton here may rest" — Thomas Gray, 1751
For 275 years, we've known that genius gets buried by poverty, disability, and exclusion. We've written poems about it. We've shaken our heads. We've done nothing.
PhrogAble does something.
Creativity doesn't need a lesser class. The kid on Medicaid with a broken wheelchair has the same creative fire as the kid with a MacBook Pro and private tutors. The difference isn't talent. It's access.
Poverty is a preventable disability. Chronic stress reshapes brains. Malnutrition stunts development. Housing instability kills focus. When we lock creative tools behind price walls, we're not protecting intellectual property — we're silencing Miltons.
Accessibility-first makes everything better. Curb cuts help parents with strollers. Closed captions help people in noisy bars. Voice interfaces help everyone who's ever been frustrated by a menu. Design for the hardest case and you design for all cases.
Nothing about us without us. Our kids aren't beta testers. They're co-designers. They teach us what works. We build what they need.
We fund this ourselves. Doug and Alex invest Social Security income. Our technical partner Mike Vavak contributes infrastructure from Bratislava. We also have revenue-generating technology in development that will help sustain the foundation's mission long-term. Nobody's getting rich. Everybody's getting real.
We build in public. Our development process, our mistakes, our breakthroughs — all visible. Because accessibility shouldn't be proprietary.
We partner, not extract. We're seeking people who want to build something, not people who want to invest in something. Foundation experts who've built from nothing. Adaptive sports coaches who've seen kids light up. Teachers who know what actually works.
We ship imperfect things. Perfect is the enemy of shipped. We'd rather put a rough tool in a kid's hands today than a polished tool in a catalog next year.
The first people who believe in this get remembered. Foundational Donors is our honor roll — and it includes everyone from major donors to the person who gives a dollar in our first months. Because giving a shit isn't measured in zeros.
You build adaptive tools? Come build with us.
You teach our kids? Come teach us what they need.
You know foundation law? Come show us how to do this right.
You make things? Come make things that matter.
You just give a shit? That's enough. Come give a shit with us.
